Welcome to Episode 1 of Slow Play! This will be an occassional addition to the main show, in which one or two of us will take 15 to 30 minutes to discuss random aspects of the hobby, conduct interviews, and generally focus on something OTHER than the latest hotness in the world of wargaming.
For this first episode, your host of Allies of Inconvenience- Evan "Gothmog" Valdyke - discusses what he collects hobby wise, from 40k and BFG to historical wargames in 6mm scale.
We hope you enjoy!

Tempestus Scions 2k List
Continuing from last time where I posted about initial lists for 9th Edition, I have another. Since I acquired a ton of old metal 3rd edition storm troopers I have been thinking of running a Tempestus Scions list and with the Psychic Awakening "The Greater Good" really flushing out Scions, there hasn't ever been a better time.
Militarum Tempestus 2k- 133rd Lambdan Lions ("4th Necromunda")
2000 points, 10 CP (Imperial Commanders Armoury, Inquisitorial Mandate)
Battalion Detachment

Inquisitor: Lord Inquisitor Hector Rex- 110: Arias, Storm Shield, Bolt Pistol; Warlord Trait: Psychic Mastery, Powers: Power Through Knowledge, Terrify, Dominate
Elites: Crusaders (7)- 140: Power Sword and Storm Shield
Elites: Ministorum Priest- 40: Autogun, Chainsword, Laspistol
Elites: Officer of the Fleet- 25: Laspistol
Elites: Ogryns (9)- 270: Ripper Guns, Frag Bombs
Elites: Scion Command Squad (4)- 45: 4 x Hot-shot Lasguns, Platoon Standard
Troops: Scions (10)- 125: Tempestor w/ Chainsword and Hot-Shot Laspistol, Vox and Hot-Shot Laspistol, 4 x Flamers, 4 x Hot-Shot Lasguns
Troops: Scions (5)- 55: Tempestor w/ Chainsword and Hot-Shot Laspistol, 2 x Grenade Launchers, 2 x Hot-Shot Lasguns
Troops: Scions (5)- 55: Tempestor w/ Chainsword and Hot-Shot Laspistol, 2 x Grenade Launchers, 2 x Hot-Shot Lasguns

Troops: Scions (10)- 135: Tempestor w/ Chainsword and Hot-Shot Laspistol, Vox and Hot-Shot Laspistol, 4 x Meltaguns, 4 x Hot-Shot Lasguns
Troops: Scions (10)- 120: Tempestor w/ Chainsword and Plasma Pistol, Vox and Hot-Shot Laspistol, 2 x Plasma Gun, 6 x Hot-Shot Lasguns
Flyer: Valkyrie- 165: 2 x Multi-Rocket Pods, Lascannon, 2 x Heavy Bolters
Flyer: Valkyrie- 165: 2 x Multi-Rocket Pods, Lascannon, 2 x Heavy Bolters
Dedicated Transport: Taurox Prime- 140: Taurox Gatling Cannon, 2 x Autocannons
Dedicated Transport: Taurox Prime- 120: Taurox Gatling Cannon, 2 x Hot-Shot Volley Guns
Going with the Lambdan Lions fluff of them helping out the Adeptus Mechanics really opens up some possibilities for some cool conversions. I plan to make my Valks out of the new Archeaopter. I also think that the Secutarii Hoplites with swords instead of spears will make great Crusaders for both this Army and my Sisters of Silence Adeptus Sororitas Proxy army.
This will really sell the theme with the fliers and the Admech Troops.
For the Ogryns, I am itching at picking up Victoria Miniatures Mud Crunchers.
As for running the Army, the idea would be for Rex and the Crusaders, Priest and Ogryns to head into the middle of the table, possibly with the Lord Commissar as well. Rex would use his psychic powers (which I boosted) to give the Ogryns a 5+ invuln to make them harder to shift. Sure Bullgryns may be more durable, but I like these models more, and the shooting profile isn't terrible. They are ultimately just there to absorb damage and anything they put out in return is icing on the cake. With the new blast rules, Grenadiers Strat on their Frag Bombs is also a good way to put out some damage.
Meanwhile the Priest is boosting the A of both squads and the Crusaders are just taking a lot on their 3+ storm shields. Rex can cast Terrify to spare them a scary overwatch as well. Going to really have to see how Dominate plays out as a power now that it no longer can affect vehicles, but Psychic Fortitude would be my go to back up.
Then the rest of the List is Scions running around doing Scion things. Lambdan Lions are an additional -1 AP to all ranged weapons, so AP -3 Hot-shots, -2 Flamers, -3 Plasma without overheat, and most impressively -5 Metla! And then the Taurox Galtings! Heavy 20, S4, AP-1. Get them into that reroll bubble around the Warlord and they are really working it. Mostly for fluff reasons I stuck with the WL trait and relic of their regiment, give the Warlord a 5+ invuln Aura and an ability to reroll 1's to hit (which will be great with the number of meltas in the list). Flier transport and deepstrike options dependent on scenario and secondaries.
Just want to note, the reason I don't have more volley guns is because of the limitations of the models I am using. It'd be nice to have a squad toting 4 of those around and use the strat that causes hotshots to do a mortal wound on 6s to hit.
Another potential change would depend on the Valkyrie performance. If I drop the Heavy Bolters, I could fit in Nork Deddog, who may be incredibly useful protecting the Tempestors. The other possibility is upgrading the rocket pods to hellstrikes and taking a normal Ogryn bodyguard, but that would largely depend on how I feel I am handling tanks.
Left me know if you have any thoughts, or if you are looking at scions yourself.

Non-Primarch Characters that need to make an appearance/come back in 9th
With 9th edition 40k, there will be a whole new round of codicies, which means an opportunity for more and new characters to join the fray. Below I've compiled a short list of some characters from the Lore and previous Codicies that currently have no representation in the game, but definitely deserve some IMO.
- Lord Commander Primus Eidolon- The leader of the remnants of the 3rd Legion. Assuming there will be a Codex Emperor's Children as some point, you'd have to have Eidolon as a counterpoint to Typhus and Ahriman in the DG and TS books. I also hope we will see a Codex World Eaters, but Kharn would be the biggest dog there, and he already exists. The Soul Severed though is also still out there, and having him at the head of an army of Noise Marines would just be great to see on the table.
- Be'Lakor- The First Daemon Prince. Technically he currently, this guy needs to be redone and in a big way. IMO next Codex Chaos Daemons, he needs to be a LOW and Supreme Commander and just be baller. He looks cool, has an appearance in a fairly recent Black Library Audio featuring Ahriman that is worth checking out, and in general just belongs in the game. Added bonus- Triple Release him for 40k, Age of Sigmar and The Old World (once that releases). It just makes sense to have the OG be bigger in the game (and may or may not help maintain the Malal mythos)
- Captain Alessio Cortez- Missing since Third Edition. This Crimson Fist Captain was the epitome of someone who looked like they've been through hell and came out stronger on the other side. Crimson Fists used to have a lot bigger presence in the Lore and Hobby than they do today. Sure they still have Pedro Kantor, but people used to collect them. They were on the cover of the codex even (yes, there was a time it wasn't Ultramarines). Bringing back this grizzled veteran and having him cross the Rubicon Primaris, and then giving him a model in his classic bad ass pose would really help sell this army again.
- Dark Apostle Erebus- Voted most hated man in the Galaxy for Ten Thousands years consecutively. The First and Foremost among the Dark Apostle, this Word Bearer has had so much impact on the lore, it would be a shame to bring back Daemon Primarchs and not bring back the man who led them all astray. And while I mentioned in a previous post Kor Phaeron showing up and being a candidate for the supreme commander keyword, I think Erebus would be more celebrated and reviled by the fanbase, and has a greater potential for some cool rules.
- Asdrubael Vect- How and why the Archon of the Kabal of the Black Heart is not in the game currently, I don't know. I get we went a decade or so at one point without an update to this army, and I can't figure out for the life of me why he didn't get a new model with any of their relaunches. Time to bring back the man with the most hated stratagem in the game.
- Grand Master Vorth Mordrak- While Voldus is neat and all, he is a pretty lame replacement for someone who could literally summon Ghosts of his fallen GK brothers and take them into battle against Daemons. Seriously, if that isn't grim dark, I don't know what is. Be neat to see him and his incorporeal pals be put into the game like Celestine and her two Geminae.
- Chapter Master Tu'Shan- Why are there only Two Salamander Characters in the game? There needs to be more, so I start at the top. Tu'Shan is respected by all he meets and leads one of the most noble Space Marine Chapters there is. What else really needs to be said.
- Angkhor Prok- The infamous kroot shaper. It would be great to see Kroot on the table more IMO. They have cool fluff and their primitive avian look is neat alongside the futuristic Tau, really highlighting how the Empire is more of a coalition of races. Giving the Kroot a Character again could go a long way to making them playable and interesting. Prok specifically is the one who brokered a deal with the Tau Empire though, so he may be dead at this point, but the idea is to at least get a kroot character back into the game.
- Captain Uriel Ventris- If Captain Titus of the Space Marine video game can't actually exist, this is the closest we will get to him. Roboute has met him and was impressed by him. Have this modern day Aeonid Thiel offer up some interesting ways for Ultramarines to play on the table. Maybe even make him a dual character profile with Pasanius, his #2, who would be interesting with his Necrontyr right arm.
- Doom of Malan'tai/Parasite of Mortex- Probably rename them with more generic names (like all the current bugs: Swarm Lord, Old One Eye, Red Terror, Death Leaper), but successors in Spirit. The psychic phase is a big part of the game, so having a bug that is just an absolute beast in that phase make sense. And as for the Parasite, no better reason than to come out with a winged warrior kit.
- Old Zogwort- The greatest Weirdboy to ever live. Seeing as there is no current Weirdboy Character, it might as well be him. No excuse at this point for one of the most psychically attuned races in the lore to not have a special character who excels in the psychic phase of the game. And by excel, I mean does completely powerful yet absolutely zany Ork things.
- Moriar the Chosen/Cassor the Damned- I list both of these BAMFs, and while for personal reasons I prefer Moriar, I would honestly be happy if they just took a note from BA history and made a Death Company Dreadnought Character again. Heck, they could even make him a Redemptor Dread for all I care. It is just cool to have a member of the Death Company entombed and battling for eternity in a huge metal monster body.
And no list of characters returning would be complete without
This Slaaneshi Daemonprince of Metal and Mayhem may have been finally caught by Ko'Sarro Khan, but that does not mean they can't concoct a scenario in which he is freed and escapes to ride once more through the Warp, all shiny and chrome. Ever a true fan favorite, there is little reason to not make an awesome warp dust fueled combat monster on a motorcycle fueled by insanity.

Supreme Commander Keyword- Who should get it (RIGHT NOW!)
So the new Supreme Command Detachment requires you to have the "Primarch, Daemon Primarch or Supreme Commander" keyword.
As of right now that leaves us with
1- Roboute Guilliman
2- Magnus the Red
3- Mortarion
Not really a lot there to say of. And none of them have the "Supreme Commander" keyword.
So how is this going to evolve? Well I am sure with each codex release we are going to see each codex release contain one or two of their choices gain this keyword. But that would mean that some armies would have an inherent CP/HQ advantage over others, using the Supreme Command Detachment to bring some awesome characters and leaving spots open in their Patrol, Battalion or Brigades.
GW should release an Errata that grants the Keyword to a list of characters, much like they did for Blast Weapons.
And here is the list of people that should get it I believe
IMPERIUM
CHAOS
AELDARI
OTHER XENOS
So all of these people should in theory have access to the Supreme Commander Keyword. They are Chapter Master and their equivalent or greater in other races. You'll notice very few generic HQs, but those that are there really define the idea of a supreme commander IMO. The Eldar Autarch is the perfect example of this, as commanding an entire Craftworld's Army is literally what they have trained their whole life to do. Other things like Hive Tyrants were literally created for that purpose.
Of note I didn't include Carab Culln of the Red Scorpions... because he is a leviathan dreadnought now.
Another thing though, since a Supreme Commander HAS to be your Warlord, by limiting it to mostly named characters, this is locking in what is usually NOT the optimal Warlord Trait for the army. SO it becomes a matter of picking your poison. Do you want to free up that HQ slot or do you want to save your warlord trait (or the CP you'd spend on a 2nd). Your choice.
What I would like to see as the edition evolves is the following (not listing Primarchs, as if they show up at some point in 9th they are already covered)
IMPERIUM
CHAOS

And here is the list of people that should get it I believe
IMPERIUM
- Strategem- Codex Space Marines "Chapter Master" should have a line added where it adds this keyword.
- Blood Angels- Commander Dante
- Dark Angels- Azrael
- Ultramarines- Marneus Calgar
- Raven Guard- Kayvann Shrike
- Space Wolves- Logan Grimnar
- Flesh Tearers- Gabriel Seth
- Black Templars- High Marshal Helbrecht
- Crimson Fists- Pedro Kantor
- Carcharodons- Tyberos the Red Wake
- Minotaurs- Lord Astrion Moloc
- Raptors- Lias Issodon
- Lamenters- Malakim Phoros
- Deathwatch- Watchmaster
- Grey Knights- Grand Master Voldus
- Grey Knights- Lord Kaldor Draigo
- Grey Knights- Grand Master/Grand Master Nemesis Dreadknight
- Custodes- Trajann Valoris
- Adeptus Mechanicus- Belisarius Cawl
- Astra Militarum- Lord Castellan Creed
- Astra Militarum- Commissar Yarrick
- Adeptus Sororitas- Saint Celestine
- Adeptus Sororitas- Junith Eruita
- Death Korps of Krieg- Marshal Karis Venner
- Inquisition- Lord Inquisitor Hector Rex
- Inquisition- Lord Inquisitor Solomon Lok
- Inquisition- Inquisitor Torquemada Coteaz
- Inquisition- Inquisitor Karamazov
- Inquisition- Inquisitor Greyfax
CHAOS
- Chaos Space Marines- Abaddon the Despoiler
- Chaos Space Marines- Huron Blackheart
- Chaos Daemons- Aetaos'rau'keres
- Chaos Daemons- An'ggrath the Unbound
- Chaos Daemons- Scabeiathrax the Bloated
- Chaos Daemons- Zarakynel
- Chaos Daemons- Kairos Fateweaver
- Chaos Daemons- Rotigus
- Chaos Daemons- Skarbrand
- Chaos Daemons- Shalaxi Helbane
- Death Guard- Typhus
- Thousand Sons- Ahriman
AELDARI
- Craftworlds- Asurman (only Pheonix Lord to warrant it IMO as he is the first and chieftain of them, where as the rest would be too focused on their Aspect)
- Craftworlds- Autarchs
- Craftworlds- Eldrad Ulthran
- Ynarri- The Visarch
OTHER XENOS
- Necrons- The Silent King
- Orks- Ghazghkull Mag Uruk Thraka
- Tyranids- Hive Tyrant
- Tyranids- The Swarmlord
- Genestealer Cults- Patriarch
- Tau- Commander Shadowsun
- Tau- Commander Farsight
So all of these people should in theory have access to the Supreme Commander Keyword. They are Chapter Master and their equivalent or greater in other races. You'll notice very few generic HQs, but those that are there really define the idea of a supreme commander IMO. The Eldar Autarch is the perfect example of this, as commanding an entire Craftworld's Army is literally what they have trained their whole life to do. What I would like to see as the edition evolves is the following (not listing Primarchs, as if they show up at some point in 9th they are already covered)
IMPERIUM
- Astra Militarum- New Datasheet "Warmaster". These guys lead crusades in the fluff and are kind of a big deal. Also opens up a whole new realm of orders or stratagems
- Space Marines- Should be standard for any chapter master that gets made. EG- if Lysander gets upgraded from a Captain as he should be.
- Custodes- Constantine Valdor. Be super sweet if he came back, and he would obviously warrant this.
- Adeptus Sororitas- A Canoness Superior stratagem, like space marines have the chapter master one. Put a Canoness from another order on par with Junith Eruita. A normal Canoness is like a SM Captain. They need their Chapter Masters too.
- Archmagos- Just something above a Tech Priest Dominus that isn't Cawl. Maybe its a stratagem as well, like Chapter Master and the Canoness Superior one above. Maybe its a new datasheet. Either is fine.
CHAOS
- Emperors Children- Eidolon. Be cool to see the Soul-Severed in the game. And if he came back, as the Lord Commander Primus, he would necessitate the keyword.
- Word Bearers- Kor Phaeron. While Erebus may be the worst person in the Galaxy, he is not really up for "Supreme Commander". That's where Kor Phaeron comes in though. Now at the head of the Dark Council, this would be neat and fitting.
- Chaos Daemons- Bel'Lakor. Needs a new model, needs to be reinvented. But the 1st Daemon Prince should be near Primarch levels and treated as such.
- Chaos Daemons- Kugath. Bring back the Plague Father, nuff said.
XENOS
- Drukhari- Asdrubael Vect- Drukhari are the only race not listed above, and that is because Vect is missing in the game still. And frankly he shouldn't be. But no other Dark Eldar commands the attention of his race like he does, and frankly it makes no sense to give the keyword to just a random Archon when the race is known for their Treachery. He is the only person that deserves this for DE.
- Orks- a Stratagem or new Datasheet to make a Warboss one. The generic warboss is a little too lackluster for this as is IMO, but it wouldn't need to be something on par with Thraka. But it should be an impressive Ork to say the least.
So what do you think? Did we miss anything? Is there anything you want to see? Or do you think all of this goes WAY to far and that keyword and detachment should be super limited.

First 9th Edition List Concepts: Blood Angels, Death Korps and Custodes
Well 9th Edition is here, and it has vastly shifted the meta with new scenarios, list building rules, detachment limitations, new terrain rules, a smaller table size and nearly universal points increases.
Below are my first hot takes at lists as I rebaseline myself to 9th Edition
First Up, Blood Angels
BA 2k Terminators- 1997, 8 CP at Start
Patrol Detachment
HQ: Terminator Captain- 115: Relic Blade & Storm Shield, Relic- Veritas Vitae, Warlord- Speed of the Primarch
HQ: Terminator Librarian- 105: Force Axe, Storm Bolter, Powers- Quickening, Unleash Rage
Troops: Tactical Squad (6)- 115: Sergeant w/ Combi-Grav & Power Axe; Grav-Cannon; 4 x Bolters
Heavy Support: Land Raider Helios- 293: Helios Launcher, 2 x Twin Lascannons, Hunter Killer Missile, Storm Bolter
Vanguard Detachment
HQ: Brother Corbulo- 90: The Red Grail, Heaven's Teeth, Bolt Pistol
HQ: Terminator Chaplain- 98: Crozius Arcanum, Storm Bolter, Litanies: Invocation of Destruction, Exhortation of Rage
Elites: Terminator Ancient- 95:Lightning Claw, Relic- Standard of Sacrifice
Elites: Terminator Squad (5)- 192: Chainfist & Storm Bolter, 2 x PF & SB, Assault Cannon & PF, Sergeant w/ Power Sword & SB; Teleport Homer
Elites: Terminator Assault Squad (5)- 215: 5 x TH & SS; Teleport Homer
Elites: Cataphractii Terminator Squad (5)- 180: 5 x Dual Lightning Claw, Sarge w/ Grenade Harness
Elites: Tartaros Terminator Squad (5)- 189: Sergeant w/ Grenade Harness, Power Sword & Plasma Blaster; 2 x Combi-Bolter & Power Fist, Combi-Bolter & Chainfist, Reaper Autocannon & Chainfist
Heavy Support: Land Raider Crusader- 310: 2 x Hurricane Bolters, Twin Assault Cannon, Multi-Melta
I made this list to maximize terminators, who have become useful for their mid-board staying power. Calling it now, when the new codex drops and storm shields all become 4+ invulns, the cataphractii terminators are going to be great with their built in 4+ and the ability to still take 2 weapons.
However in the meantime, this list is meant to both be thematic and really adjust to the new battlespace. The Crusade will protect the Helios from assault and deliver one of the close combat kitted squads to the front along with 3 characters (Likely the Captain, Chaplain and Corbulo). The helios stores the tacticals, who are there to be a cheap, transportable (since the helios capacity is 6) troops choice to leave on an objecting. Loaded with grav to help take out primaris, custodes, terminators, death guard, and other high durability units showing up a lot in the early 9th meta. Shooting terminators advance on their own and the Librarian and remaining terminator squad are prime candidates for deep strike. Two teleport homers in the list are left in my back field to warp to for escape or flanking protection as needed.
Next Up, Death Korps of Krieg
DKK 2k- 1997, 12 CP to start
Battalion Detachment
HQ: Marshal Karis Venner- 79: Momento Mori, Powersword, Hot-shot Laspistol, Warlord- Grand Strategist
HQ: Death Rider Squadron Commander- 54: Hot-Shot Laspistol, Demo-Charge, Power-Sword, Relic- The Blade of Conquest
HQ: Death Rider Squadron Commander- 52: Hot-Shot Laspistol, Demo-Charge, Hunting Lance
Elites: Death Rider Command Squad (4)- 60: 4 x Laspistol & Hunting Lance
Elites: Engineers (10)- 93: Watch Master w/ Chainsword, Shotgun & Melta-Bomb; 9 x Shotguns, Vox, Demo-Charge, Gas Grenades
Troops: Grenadier Storm Squad (10)- 97: WM w/ Chainsword & HS laspistol; 7 x HS Lasguns, 2 x Plasma Gun, Vox
Troops: Grenadier Storm Squad (10)- 103: WM w/ Chainsword & HS laspistol; 7 x HS Lasguns, 2 x Melta Gun, Vox
Troops: Grenadier Storm Squad (10)- 103: WM w/ Chainsword & HS laspistol; 7 x HS Lasguns, 2 x Melta Gun, Vox
Troops: Grenadier Storm Squad (6)- 53: WM w/ Chainsword & HS laspistol; 3 x HS Lasguns, 2 x Grenade Launcher, Vox
Fast Attack: Death Rider Squadron (10)- 150: WM w/ Hunting Lance & HS Laspistol; 9 x Hunting Lance & Laspistol
Fast Attack: Death Rider Squadron (10)- 150: WM w/ Hunting Lance & HS Laspistol; 9 x Hunting Lance & Laspistol
Fast Attack: Death Rider Squadron (10)- 150: WM w/ Hunting Lance & HS Laspistol; 9 x Hunting Lance & Laspistol
Heavy Support: Stygies Thunderer Siege Tank- 160: Demolisher Cannon, Heavy Stubber
Heavy Support: Stygies Thunderer Siege Tank- 160: Demolisher Cannon, Heavy Stubber
Heavy Support: Malcador Annihilator- 310: Twin Lascannon, Demolisher Cannon, 2 x Lascannons, Heavy Subber
Flyer: Thunderbolt Heavy Fighter- 225: 2 x Twin Autocannon, Twin Lascannon
So this list is really a standard DKK list however THEY FAQ'D THUNDERER SIEGE TANKS! THEY ARE ACTUALLY PLAYABLE! AND MALCADORS! And their low profile will be really nice in with the way terrain works now. Not to mention having 3 demolisher cannons with the new blast rules. And the malcador can now EAT UP other tanks since its twin lascannon can fire twice. And with smaller board sizes, once you get those lascannons into position, you should likely never need to move for range, meaning maximum firepower. The only downfall of these tanks are they are all still susceptible to close combat because the demolisher cannons can't fire and they have really nothing to clear out infantry. However, screening them with Death Riders will be great. Speaking of which, the new reserve rules really are great for the Death Riders, allowing some late game action by my horses. Lastly, sticking with grenadiers for their improved durability over normal kriegers and the ability to tote around some specialized firepower.
Finally, my first take at Custodes
Custodes 2k- 1998, 11 CP to start
Patrol Detahcment
HQ: Trajann Valoris- 190: Watcher's Axe, Misericordia
HQ: Jetbike Captain- 178: Hurricane Bolter, Interceptor Lance, Misericordia, Warlord- Superior Creation, Relic- Auric Aquillas, Captain Commander- Indomitable Constitution
Elites: Allarus Custodians (4)- 292: Castellan Axes, Misericordia
Elites: Vexilus Praetor- 128: Storm Shield, Misericordia, Vexilla Magnifica
Troops: Sagittarum Custodes (3)- 153: Adrastus Bolt Calivers, 1 x Misericordia
Troops: Guardians w/ Adrasite Spears (3): Adrasite Spears, Misericordia
Fast Attack: Vertus Praetors (3)- 294: Hurricane Bolters, Interceptor Lances, Misericordia
Fast Attack: Vertus Praetors (3)- 294: Hurricane Bolters, Interceptor Lances, Misericordia
Heavy Support: Telemon- 295: Caestus w/ Twin Plasma Projector, Arachnus Storm Cannon, Spiculus Bolt Launcher
Custodes are solid so far this edition, but numbers are still limited. I would likely drop Trajann in via From Golden Light with the Terminators. The Adrasite Spears are not something I've seen mentioned alot, but I like them for much the same reason I mentioned grav in the Blood Angels list- the ability to remove things like custodes, primaris etc. etc. I would run the bike squads together as cover for each other. The new "you have to reach everything you declare when you charge" makes the threat of a Stooping Dive incredible. Just keep the squads a few inches apart such that charging both is never likely, but will always be answered with a stooping dive. Running with them would be the INDESTRUCTIBLE JETBIKE CAPTAIN. 3+ invuln, 5+ FNP, 9 wounds. He is not dying. If this proves overkill though in the long run, I would likely swap Indomitable Constitution for Unstoppable Destroyer for some extra threat range. Last thing to really mention is the Telemon- Star of 9th. Dreadnoughts got better and he is king. Truly a threat to both vehicles and infantry in and out of combat. Fully expect a points hike at the first available opportunity.

Fast Attack: Death Rider Squadron (10)- 150: WM w/ Hunting Lance & HS Laspistol; 9 x Hunting Lance & Laspistol
Heavy Support: Stygies Thunderer Siege Tank- 160: Demolisher Cannon, Heavy Stubber
